We offer a 14-day return policy. This means you have 14 days from the date you receive your item to initiate a return. Once your return request is approved and you receive the return label, you must hand the item over to Australia Post within 5 Business days. Please note that the return label will expire after 5 business days and cannot be used beyond this period. This policy helps ensure that the returned product remains in new condition, allowing us to process your refund smoothly.

We offer ONE Free return per order, You may return one item or a multiple of items as long as they are from 1 order.

Please also note that returns/exchanges aren’t available for items that are on Sale/Clearance unless deemed faulty.

For all international orders outside of Australia – You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Please note, your initial shipping fee is non-refundable if you decide to return your parcel. If you opt for self-shipping, please use a reliable shipping method with tracking to ensure the safe return of the item

To be eligible for a return and refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

How to: Submit a return request

1. Log in to your account

2. Go to orders tab on the right side panel

3. Click ‘Request Return’

4. If your order is eligible for a return you will see a button next to your item, click it to continue

5. input all details and submit the request.

6. We will then review your request-

·       You will then be notified by email if your return has been accepted or declined

·       If your return request has been accepted, we will send you a return label that you can print-if you are unable to print the label then you can have the label printed at any Australia Post Branch

Refunds
We provide Refunds for items excluding clearance and sale items. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the returned item was deemed in acceptable condition to be approved or not, Please allow 48 hours after we receive your item back to process this. If approved, you’ll be given a refund of the original amount.
If more than 5 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at info@modestly.com.au

If the items that you have returned are rejected because of reasons such as items that are damaged, worn or in an unsellable condition you will have the item sent back to you- You will be charged for the shipping to return the items back to you.

We will not refund any Delivery Fees that you have paid at purchase to have the product shipped to you, or the cost of any packaging you provide to send the items back to us.

Shipping Guidelines when returning/exchanging your items

• We cannot be responsible for items that are lost in transit by the carrier and cannot provide refunds or exchanges for items that are lost- We recommend you use tracked shipping
• We recommend you re-use the biodegradable mailer that the item was originally sent to you with to save on waste and is also convenient for you
• Please ensure you have the correct address on your label as we cannot be liable for incorrect deliveries.

Faulty/damaged items:

We allow 7 days from the item being received to notify us-If you have received an item that is faulty or defective please reach out to our helpful customer support team directly via our contact page or by emailing us at info@modestly.com.au. We want to make this right so we offer a full refund/exchange or store credit for faulty/incorrect items

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

• Clearance/SALE items cannot be returned or exchanged
• We cannot accept returns on gift cards.

Exchanges
We provide exchanges via our returns process, so the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Returning when using Buy Now/Pay later services
If you made a purchase using a Buy Now/Pay Later service like Afterpay or Zip, we will issue your refund like normal which will be automatically applied to your afterpay or Zip pay account. The service merchant will be notified of the refund you have applied for.
