Our co-founder Ilham is currently pursuing a PhD in modest fashion, driven by a deep commitment to understanding and reshaping the industry from within. Her research fuels the foundation of The Modestful, a movement that brings modest fashion back to its essence, rooted in faith, intention and meaning. Because this isn’t just about selling. About us
The Modestful was founded by two Muslim women with a question we couldn’t ignore: why does dressing with dignity feel so difficult? As women working in fashion and design, we were tired of endlessly filtering through options only to find pieces that looked right but often missed the mark in either style or modesty.
What began as a shared frustration grew into something much bigger. We created a space where modesty is not a filter or a trend. It is the foundation. A marketplace that sees women like us fully and curates fashion that reflects not just how we dress, but what we believe.
