The Tanvi Top is a is an easy-fit, One Size Fits all top featuring a wide scoop neckline with gathers radiating from the neckline.

Description

It is a raglan style with a full sleeve that gathers into a fine band at the wrist. The sleeve is bracelet length.

The body of the garment is Cream with Black Cross Motifs woven within the fabric by skilled artisans.

A fine band in a contrasting Black based Ikat Fabric is used to finish the neckband and wristband.

It is the perfect Transeasonal piece as it can be worn in the warmer months on its own and then layered over a black polo, such as our pure wool Ira Polo, in the cooler months when it looks great teamed with black pants, boots and a scarf.

The Cotton Double Ikat fabric the Tanvi top is crafted from is a handloomed Ikat fabric woven on traditional timber looms by skilled weavers residing in Telangana State, India.

Double Ikat involves the process of resist dyeing on both warp and weft threads and then weaving them together to form intricate patterns.

As a company we pride ourselves on supporting artisanal products and craftspeople in the hope these ancient skills will not be lost; though threatened by the commercial power loom.

The fabric was woven exclusively for us in India. The garment was designed, pattern made and sampled in our Haberfield Studio in Sydney, Australia and then hand cut and crafted in New Delhi, India.
